As a Factory Supply Chain Manager, you will direct and control the factory’s production planning, purchasing, shipping and warehousing functions so as to ensure a smooth operation to meet customers’ needs on time and in full; at the same time meeting Key Perfomance Indications (KPIs). You will be directly responsible for purchasing to ensure raw/packing materials. Close liaison and joint purchasing with Malaysia & Zone AOA purchasing to derive purchasing synergies. In addition, you will manage and co-ordinate with 3rd Party Logistics Provider to ensure best management of activities.
A day in the life of…
Supervise the purchasing function of technical, raw packing materials using MRP to meet production requirements
Co-ordinate with Zone purchasing and Nestle Malaysia Group Purchasing for purchasing & supply of raw & packing materials
Partnering relationship with major suppliers
Defining purchasing policies and procedures
Ensure housekeeping of system inputs to ensure on time payment to suppliers
Obtaining and alllocating resources to manage purchasing activities and projects
Stock control for raw & packing material and finished goods
Accurate control of inventory
Stock Rotation
Scheduling of resources and ensure warehouse optimization
Ensure claim and disposal of reject material to supplier at best possible price
Ensure disposal of obsolete stock due to product discontinuation or recipe change
Ensure Ageing stock situation for raw and packaging materials
Ensure claim and disposal/rework of reject material from suppliers
Supervise and ensure smooth Inbound activities of Jurong Factory
Logistics and Freight bill verification for inward shipment
Ensure Zone transport policy and cargo allocation to carriers is adhered to
Liaison with government bodies Chamber of Commerce, Embassies and Inspection bodies in the event of dispute
Ensure the best rate and service level with Logistics Service Provider
Budget Planning
Monitoring warehouse expenses
Continuous Improvement & coordination of system and operations
NCE roll out —> Agenda, PQSCPM goal alignment and target setting
GLOBE Stream lead for Purchasing and Warehousing module to co-ordinate system upgrades, testing and reporting
BCP Co-ordinator for Purchasing, Warehousing & Logistics
To constantly improve staff morale through training and empowerment
Responsible to implement safety and environment practices in the workplace.
What Will Make You Successful
Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management
Solid team player with the ability to lead and multi-task.
SAP experience in material handling, planning and purchasing
Commitment to a strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, safety, compliance and quality
